Yay

Met with the chair of my dissertation committee today.
She "passed" all of the draft chapters
and gave some terrific suggestions for revisions
that I must make before
the "final draft" goes to the committee members.
Yay.

See yall later;
will be doing much of that revising
and won't be posting for a while.

My heartiest congratulations, Kurk! May the sailing ahead be smooth: a painless revision, a fun defense, and a sunny hooding! :-)

Thanks for the welcome. It's going to be some days before I've mulled over your response and considered the next few lines (among doing more mundane things). Thereafter, respond as and when you have the opportunity and inclination. I can wait.

As regards "patience", are you perhaps using on an outdated dictionary? (Such as the one the KJV relied on in James 5:11.) Mine defines it as "a characteristic of someone who not only puts up with people who post half-cooked and badly explained ideas on topics they know little about, but actually encourages a repeat performance." (I think Job's definition was more like "telling your so-called friends to shut up or ship out".)

Annie's not my cat: I just get to look after her while my brother and his wife are sunning themselves in Greece while they interact and attempt to converse with the locals. (Appropriately for a cat living on the Isle of Man, Annie's not only Manx by birth but also due to being anatomically-challenged in the tail department.)

Hope the dissertation goes to plan!
